● Location: HCMC
● As a Chain Specialist you are part of our sales and product development team, with specific responsibility for building relationships with vegetable supply chain partners such as major retail companies, trading companies, food processors and large growers.
● Moreover, you fulfil an essential role in carrying out market research, consumer testing of new varieties/concepts, following complex market dynamics and developments, and initiating new business developments together and in accordance with our Client Managers.
● You share knowledge about the value chain, consumer trends and work closely together with the Vietnamese sales and product development team. -Also, you participate at major national exhibitions and attend seminars based on business needs.
● Finally, you will become responsible for several clients.
● This entails the following:
● Developing trustworthy relationships with the chain clients
● Acquiring a thorough understanding of the needs and requirements of the chain clients Serving as contact person between the chain clients and the Vietnamese crop and client team of Rijk Zwaan
● Your contribution:
● You are a strong communicator with a high degree of motivation and enthusiasm. As a proactive collaborator you are resourceful and you support the Client Managers in developing new business concepts for the value chain.
● With your commercial insight, social skills and team mentality you can establish and strongly maintain long-term relationships in the value chain for vegetables in Vietnam.
● Given the nature of this position, you are open to travel nationally and you also speak English fluently.

● A completed bachelor or master degree, in the field of Agriculture and/or Business
● At least 2-4 years of relevant working experience
● Knowledge of and experience with commercial (producer/buyer) dynamics
● Preferably knowledge of and experience with operating in an international environment
● The team consists of Product Development Specialist, Marketing… colleagues who are working together to develop new varieties for our customers.
● We have our own Trial Station in Da Lat and our office in HCMC. The Chain Specialist will play an important role in developing relationships, organizing consumer market testing and initiating new business developments to contribute in sustaining and growing our business to achieve long-term success in Vietnam.
